4 Month Update!

Emma turned 4 months last week! She is becoming the most sweetest little baby :)
Today we went to the doctor for her 4 month checkup and shots.
Her weight and height are 23 1/4" and 14.5 lbs.
She is in the 20% for her height and 65% for her weight.

Eating:
We are still exclusively breastfeeding every 3-4 hrs. She is still a great eater! A very cute thing she does now while nursing is, once she hears me talk to someone she will stop, look up at me and then give me the sweetest smile then continue. Its the cutest thing!

Sleeping:
Now that she sleeps in her own crib she has been sleeping longer intervals (4-5hrs). She slept through the night a few times which was awesome. But her sleep schedule still varies and she still uses the pacifier to fall asleep.

Misc.:
She is just the calmest and sweetest baby. She really doesn't cry much unless she is hungry or tired. She's great outside and doesn't mind to be left alone to play by herself.  I feel like I have it too easy I'm scared for how my next baby will be!

More than last month she has been smiling, giggling and cooing. She hasn't rolled over completely but has been able to turn to her side when shes on her back. She started to grab more too! Not really her toys quite yet, but my hair and clothing. She also has been trying to sit up. She cant do it on her own yet but she definitely likes to be sitting. She tries to pull herself up when shes in her car seat or when I prop her up on pillows.

She was baptized last Sunday so that was a memorable day for our family <3

Emma's baptized! :)
Hot day!
Trying to roll over!

Another Hot Day in NY!

Wow today was so hot I had to change 3 times. I was out all day today since I had the car. In the morning I had to run a few errands then stop by my moms house.

For lunch I met up with my best friend and had some cool neng myun. It was soo good!! After lunch I ran a few more errands before going to visit my mother in law.

She is currently undergoing chemo treatment for breast cancer. Its very hard for us to see her so weak esp since she has always been such a strong women. But I know in my heart because she is so strong, she will fight the disease.

I was glad she was doing so much better then her previous treatments. Since it was so hot we stayed in and watched dramas while eating crackers with the guacamole dip I made :) For dinner we all went out for korean bbq!

American Eagle dress I got from TJmaxx with my Sketchers sandals.

Cupcake dress!
I ended up changing her later too because it got too hot!

Outfit of The Day! Mama and Baby :)

Since summer's coming, and to me dressing up is the most fun during the summer, I decided to start posting OOTDs!

Today went up to 90 degrees!

I haven't written an update on my postpartum weight loss yet, but I am proud to say I am now 5lbs away from my goal weight! I will write a post about it soon!

On our walk today :)

Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial day weekend was very busy but fun! My husband wanted to go away for at least one night so we decided to go to Philly. We left Sat. morning and came back Sunday night.

The weather was going to be better then NY and the drive wasn't too far so it worked out perfect. I was concerned about Nabi but thankfully we found a pet friendly hotel right in the central area of downtown Philly. Hotel Palomar was beautiful, chic and modern. Although we only stayed one night, we had a very relaxing time.

We didn't plan the trip, so we just went to wherever that was close by. There was a lot of shopping and parks around.

Some places we visited were Liberty Square, Rittenhouse Square, The Love Park and the Rocky Statue at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

On Memorial Day we decided to throw a last minute BBQ at our house which is always fun ;).

Watching The Incredibles :)

My 27th Birthday Weekend :)

My family and I celebrated my 27th birthday this past Saturday. New York weather was pretty gloomy and rainy, but I still had a pretty good time :). My husband took Emma and I to the mall to do some girly shopping, which is always fun. I only got a pair of sandals with my husband, which were buy one sandal and get the second pair 50% off.

Sketchers is really not my style, more of my husbands style, but he found a sandal he liked, so I just picked out a simple wedge that I could wear with most outfits in the summer. I'm excited to wear them!

For dinner my husband and I met up with my mother in law, my brother and his girlfriend for dinner at a sushi buffet. I was craving sushi, but after my birthday dinner, I probably wont be wanting it for a long time! I ate wayyyy too much.

After dinner we went back to my mother in law's house to cut cake. It was seriously the yummiest cake I ever had!
It was pistachio flavored. I loveeee pistachio.

Im really blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. But the best gift I received this year is having baby Emma. I love you and daddy so much!! :)

Emma's 100th Day Celebration

Emma turned 100days old (Baek-il) yesterday! It is Korean tradition to celebrate the babies 100th day of living because back in the day the mortality rate was so high that many babies didn't live past 100 days. On this day friends and family celebrate the struggle of the first 100 days for the baby and mom along with wishing the baby to live a long and healthy life moving forward. Also it is believed that if you share rice cake with 100 people the baby will live a long life.

We only invited immediate family to the dinner. My mom came and helped me cook traditional Korean food. Unfortunately I was very busy, so I was not able to take many pictures of the food.
Her dress!
Yarn around her neck, symbolizing long life.
Showing off her bling bling haha.

3 Month Update!

Emma went to her three month checkup today. Time sure is flying by! I forgot to write down her height but her weight was 13lbs and 6oz. She is in the 75%. This month there are definitely lots of changes in her and I'm so excited to share her milestones!

Eating:
Nothing really changed with her eating schedule. We are still nursing every 2-3 hrs. She is definitely a great eater so I'm really happy about that! I still love nursing her and love the bonding time we have together during it.

Sleeping:
We have been putting her down to sleep at around 9-9:30 at night, but she usually doesn't fall asleep until 11 or 12pm, after her last feeding of the day. She still wakes up 1-2 times to nurse at night depending on when she falls asleep. If she sleeps at 10pm she would wake up at around 1-2am, again at 5-6am, then she would go back to sleep until around 9-10am (wake up time for the day). But if she sleeps at 12am she would wake up around 4-5am, go back asleep until 9-10am.

She has been sleeping longer intervals at night (4-5hrs) and has been taking 3 shorter naps during the day (40min to an hr). Im definitely happy about those two things, but one of the bigger changes this month is Emma sleeping in her crib! I actually loved co-sleeping with her and thought I would be doing it until she was about 5 months or so, but sometime in the middle of the month I decided to try having her sleep in her crib. As much as I love sleeping next to her, I knew if she slept in her crib, both my husband and I will get deeper and better sleep. I guess because she is still young her transition was not as hard. It doesn't seem like she really cares to sleep with us! She usually just soothes herself to sleep with the pacifier or after nursing.

Misc.:
This month she has been cooing, smiling and laughing so much more. It makes my heart melt every time. She has been sucking on her hand much more frequently and she has been starting to enjoy her toys. She even started to reach and try to grab her swing toys! But her favorite thing this month has been her crib mobile. She can stare at it and babble to it for along time. Instead of helping the baby fall asleep it keeps her up! Ha ha.

Other new things is she has been able to sit on the bumbo! She loves sitting up now. We would sit her on the bumbo and she would just watch us eat dinner :).

Generally she has been much more alert and her facial expressions has matured tremendously.

I hope I'm not missing anything! So much has changed this month I really look forward to her next month though its so bittersweet watching her grow up so fast. :(

Bumbo!

Loving her new car seat toys

Tummy time on her boppy :)

So pleased with her mobile haha.
